Free Fire OB39 Patch has been released, bringing major enhancements to character systems and skills, Clash Squad and Battle Royale modes, and the addition of one new gameplay mode, announced Garena.
From March 24 to April 6, 2023, players can also check out Alvaro: Reignition, the latest chapter of Free Fire Tales. Players can anticipate limited-edition Alvaro-themed cosmetics, rewards, exciting in-game activities, and even a themed film, "Alvaro: Reignition Full Animation," which will launch globally on March 31.

Character System and Skills Enhancements
Free Fire characters can now be unlocked with gold instead of diamonds, allowing players to experiment with a wider variety of character and skill combinations. In addition, upon unlocking, all characters will be equipped with their maximized skill abilities.
In the newest patch updates, multiple characters will receive newly-optimized skills. These changes include:
Awakened Alvaro - Split Blitz: This explosive skill splits fired grenades into multiple new grenades, dealing greater damage to enemies.
Dasha - Partying on: Players will gain an increase in fire rate and movement speed after a knockdown. When used as an active skill, knockdowns will also extend the skill duration.
Ford - Iron Will: This active skill will enable players to gain HP recovery when taking damage.
Otho - Memory Mist: When knocked down, activating this skill creates a mist that slows down and marks the enemy for a limited time.
Xayne - Xtreme Encounter: When activated, players will immediately see a boost in maximum HP and healing effects.
Clash Squad Mode - Protection Point Adjustments
In the Clash Squad mode, players can now accumulate over 100 Protection Points and earn additional stars by reaching certain Protection Point thresholds. Extra Protection Points will also be awarded to players who complete daily missions, earn MVP or win streaks, or encounter AFK teammates during combat.
Battle Royale Mode - New System In-Match Quests and Super Revival Card
Those seeking more Booyahs in the Battle Royale mode will appreciate the new system of in-match quests that unlock benefits like an additional 15 airdrops in the Safe Zone and the Super Revival card, which grants Free Fire players more advanced weapons and armor upon respawning.
New Game Mode - Pet Smash
During Free Fire's most recent patch update, a new time-limited game mode will also be available. In the Pet Smash mode, players will enter battle as pets equipped with basic attacks and ultimate abilities.
Free Fire Tales - Alvaro: Reignition
Free Fire Tales will return with its latest chapter, Alvaro: Reignition, which delves into the troubled past of Free Fire character Alvaro, a demolitionist. On March 31, players will be able to watch the themed film "Alvaro: Reignition Full Animation," which will take them on a journey alongside Alvaro to uncover the mysteries of his past.
New Alvaro-themed collectibles, including the Fiery Fantasy Bundle, sniper skin M82B - Fiery Rush, and Alvaro's "Grenade Magic" emote, will become available on March 24. In addition, from March 24 to April 6, players can earn campaign rewards such as the Red Carpet Ready Bundle by completing daily in-game missions.
Besides themed rewards and tokens, the Character Awakening System allows players to unlock Alvaro's special Awakening Skill. Fans should also be on the lookout for a five-part Special Campaign that begins on March 26 and introduces animated videos, banners, and songs that shed light on the characters Alvaro, Kapella, and Homer. On April 1, "EXPLOSIVE SURPRISE," a Trap & House theme song showcasing Alvaro's personality, will be revealed.
