Genshin Impact 3.6 update: release date, banners, events

Genshin Impact 3.6 update is slated for release on April 12, 2023, HoYoverse announced. The latest Genshin Impact version 3.6 patch, titled "A Parade of Providence," brings events, rewards, the first Akademiya Extravaganza, a new area in Sumeru, and two new playable characters. New Events

The Akademiya Extravaganza, hosted by the Sumeru Akademiya, provides visitors with an excellent opportunity to learn more about the most prestigious institute in all of Teyvat and the wisdom pursued by its Six Darshans.

The grand celebration will feature two major events, the Wisdom Gala and the Interdarshan Championship. At the Gala, six different mini-games, each designed by one of the Six Darshans to highlight their research interests and achievements, will be available at booths.

For instance, Layla's Rtawahist Darshan incorporates the study of stars into a mini-game involving an astrolabe, in which players form special constellations and illuminate the stars. At the Kshahrewar Darshan booth, visitors are offered a challenging game in which they must use their knowledge of technology and architecture to construct a road using the fewest possible resources.

Besides all the festivities, in the new storyline, representatives of the Six Darshans will compete for the Interdarshan Championship's top spot. Additionally, Layla's Hangout Quest will be unveiled in Version 3.6.

New Area

Deep within the desert, a new area consisting of wastelands and an oasis has been revealed, far beyond the grand celebration in Sumeru City. This region has sustained damage from Gray Crystals and corrupting Purple Mists.

According to legend, this location was one of the most important battlegrounds during the Khaenri'ah catastrophe five hundred years ago. Visitors to the oasis are fortunate to be accompanied by "Pari," creatures unique to the oasis. Using their ability to fly, Travelers can explore inaccessible regions and uncover mysteries.

New Enemies

Meanwhile, as the territory grows, so do the threats. Apep, the "Dragon of Verdure" and former ruler of ancient Sumeru, will now appear as a powerful weekly boss in the new Trounce Domain. Act II of Nahida's Story Quest "Sapientia Oromasdis Chapter" contains additional details regarding the legendary dragon and the history of Sumeru. On the other hand, additional enemies have emerged as threats, such as the new Boss Enemy "Iniquitous Baptist," the Anemo Hilichurl Rogue, and the Hydro Hilichurl Rogue from the Hilichurl family.

New Characters

The new update will include two new playable characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, both of whom are renowned figures in their respective fields.

Baizhu, a five-star Catalyst wielder with the power of Dendro, is a benevolent doctor capable of driving away wandering sprites and raising a Seamless Shield to heal the team. The "Lagenaria Chapter" of Baizhu's Story Quest will reveal additional anecdotes about the owner of Bubu Pharmacy.

Kaveh, an additional new playable character, wields a four-star Dendro Claymore. In Sumeru, Kaveh is a gifted architect known as the Light of Kshahrewar. By scanning the battlefield, his architectural toolbox, named Mehrak, will trigger all Dendro Cores and cause them to explode. This increases the combat effectiveness of Kaveh's Dendro damage.

• Kaveh will also appear in the event wishes "Immaculate Pulse" and "Adrift in the Harbor," in which he will receive a huge drop-rate boost.

In Genshin Impact Version 3.6, Nahida and Nilou will have their reruns in the first half of the Event Wishes, and the latter half will see Baizhu and Kaveh's debuts as well as Ganyu's rerun.
