- In the Play Store settings, tap Network preferences and choose Auto-update apps.
- You'll see three options (which can be changed at any time): (1) Do not auto-update apps, (2) Over Wi-Fi Only, and (3) Over any network.
- Choose 'Do not auto-update apps'. Note that this means you will always need to manually update all apps, preferably thru WiFi.

3. Turn off mobile data when you're not using the internet.
4. Disable notifications or push content from apps, except for messaging and calls.
5. Stream with caution. Always set video quality to 240p or 360p.
6. For lesser data consumption, use lite versions of applications, such as FB Lite and Messenger Lite. And if your browser or app has a data saver mode, turn it on.
7. To maximize the 1GB for three days, monitor your mobile data usage for apps.
Download the My Data Manager app, and monitor your mobile data usage, preferably 330MB in a day. When 330MB is reached, turn off your mobile data. Do this procedure every day.
